Privacy policy
What Pexli handles, where it stays, and what you control.
Last updated 2026-10-22
Screenshots, annotations and prompt drafts are processed locally. You choose what to export or share.
Who provides Pexli
Pexli is provided by Virendra Shekhawat. For privacy requests, use virendra.shekhawat9768@gmail.com.
Information used by the extension
When you choose to capture a page, Pexli handles the rendered screenshot pixels, your annotations and crop, and the descriptions and prompt text you enter. Screenshots may include personal information visible on the page you select.
A capture can also include bounded page context: the page title, the URL origin and path, viewport dimensions, device pixel ratio, capture type and selected area. URL queries, fragments and embedded credentials are omitted from that metadata. Information visible inside a screenshot remains part of the image until you remove or cover it.
Selection and scrolling scripts inspect page layout to perform the capture. Pexli does not run a background browsing-history recorder. Page capture starts from your action.
Local storage and deletion
Captures, edit documents and prompt drafts are kept in the extension’s temporary browser cache. Closing the popup does not clear an open capture; reloading its editor can restore saved edits. The capture is normally removed when its preview tab closes or when Chrome next starts. Browser cleanup may remove it earlier. Pexli is not a backup or screenshot-history service.
Panel preferences and, once activated, license state are stored in Chrome’s local extension storage. License state includes the key, instance ID, verification time, status and any expiry. This storage is not configured to sync through Pexli.
You can remove extension data through Chrome or by uninstalling Pexli. Deactivate a Pro license before removing its stored instance if you need to release that activation. Downloaded files and clipboard content are managed by your operating system and are not deleted when a preview closes.
Exports and external assistants
Copying or downloading an image or prompt is a user action. Pexli does not automatically upload or attach screenshots to an assistant. If you paste an export into another app, that app’s privacy practices apply. Review screenshots, page titles, paths and prompt text before sharing them.
Solid redaction replaces pixels in a flattened export. The original screenshot remains in the temporary editing session so you can undo edits. Pixelation reduces detail but should not be treated as a guarantee that sensitive information cannot be inferred.
Licensing and payments
Pro purchases are currently unavailable. Once enabled, checkout is hosted by Lemon Squeezy, which handles purchase and billing information under its privacy policy. Pexli’s extension does not receive your payment-card number.
Activation and license checks send the entered license key, browser instance ID where applicable, and an instance label to Lemon Squeezy’s licensing service over HTTPS. That service also receives normal network request information. Screenshots, prompt content and captured page metadata are not included in those license requests.
This website and support
The website contains no analytics, advertising scripts, embedded trackers or account system. Its demonstration runs in your browser. Copy buttons write to the clipboard only when you choose them. The website does not receive screenshots or submit the support form to a server.
Your hosting provider may process standard request information, such as IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time, to deliver and protect the website. The publisher must review the selected host’s logging and retention settings before publication.
If you send a support email, the publisher receives what you choose to include and uses it to respond to your request. Do not send full license keys, payment-card details or private screenshots. Support correspondence is kept as needed to handle the request and applicable record-keeping obligations.
Your choices and requests
You control which page to capture, what to annotate, what to export and where to share it. Local captures can be removed by closing their preview or clearing extension data. You can contact the publisher about support correspondence, access, correction or deletion requests. Available rights depend on applicable law.
